ANTIQUE KILIM - 281cm x 134cm (9'2 x 4'4)ANTIQUE RUG COLLECTION
This rug is handwoven by the nomadic tribe that migrates around the borders of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, these tribes can also be found on a smaller scale in Bahrain and the Punjab province of India. About 70% live in Pakistan and are divided into two groups; the Sulaimani and the Makrani. This kilim is made using hand spun wool and natural dyes.
These older examples are now vary hard to find in such good condition. A fantastic example of this style of rug.
