Mushwani rugs are a textile art form that combines flatweave and pile carpet weaving techniques. These hall runners are produced by the Mushwani tribe in Herat, southwestern Afghanistan. A master weave, it is also known as the Queen maliky or soumak kilim. Made with fine Beljic wool, which has a velvety feel, this Afghan runner represents exceptional value but is also hard-wearing and usable.
